Ease Into Spring Fitness
Spring is upon us! And if you are like most, getting outdoors, and getting active, are priorities. A sudden increase in activity levels, whether it’s jogging, walking, or mountain biking, can cause a variety of injuries. Quite common is a muscle strain due to over-use.
Getting your joints, and all the surrounding structures, warmed up and stretched out, can help to need to prevent weakening of a poorly aligned, or badly positioned, joint, and subsequent joint sprains. The take-home lesson: ease into a new exercise regimen!
Enthusiasm may tend to over-rule good judgement, but use caution, rather than jumping in. Your muscles and joints will thank you.
